Dr. Ousmane Diallo, MD, MPH, Epidemiologist, Iowa Department of Public Health, Division of Behavioral Health and Professional Licensure
Ousmane Diallo serves as an epidemiologist in the Division of Behavioral Health and Professional Licensure at the Iowa Department of Public Health. He received his medical degree in Senegal, West Africa and an MPH from St Louis University. He came to Iowa as a fellow at the Center for Disease Operation and Response (CDOR), where he coordinated Iowa’s community health centers in disaster preparedness and mental health readiness, developed mental health competencies for health care workers in emergency and disaster situations, and trained up to 300 nurses and public health professionals in Iowa on the mental health aspects of disaster and terrorism.
