Meghan Harris, MPH, Surveillance Epidemiologist, Iowa Department of Public Health, Center for Acute Disease Epidemiology
Meghan Harris received her BS in microbiology from the University of Iowa in 2002 and her master’s degree in public health epidemiology from the University of Iowa in 2004. Throughout her academic career she has worked in various fields of research including biophysics, genetics, environmental health and epidemiology. She was previously employed as a disease prevention specialist with Johnson County Public Health. In March 2005, she joined the Center for Acute Disease Epidemiology at the Iowa Department of Public Health as a surveillance epidemiologist. Her projects include: influenza surveillance program coordination, pandemic influenza preparedness, disease reporting, and consultation.
