Misty Jimerson, MCEP, Program Manager, Kansas Heart Disease and Stroke Prevention Program
Since 2004, Misty Jimerson has been the program manager for the Kansas Heart Disease and Stroke Prevention Program. She has a master's degree in exercise physiology from Fort Hays State University. She volunteered with the American Heart Association and then decided to work for the American Heart Association. She helped to develop the grant for a heart disease and stroke prevention program in Kansas and once the health department was funded, decided to work for them. The Kansas Heart Disease and Stroke prevention program integrates with all the chronic disease programs within the Office of Health Promotion to deliver the best care for all Kansans.
