Mayor Richard Roepke, Aurora City
Richard A "Rich" Roepke served on the Aurora City Council for eight years before being elected to mayor in 1986. He has been very active with local church and school activities over the past 37 years since his graduation from Iowa State University in 1970 in agricultural education. He serves as a board member for East Buchanan Dollars for Scholars at St. Paul Lutheran Church and the Aurora Historical Society. He has been in business on Main Street in Aurora since July of 1975 as an independent property and casualty insurance agent.
