Bonnie D. Rubin, MBA, MHA, Emergency Response and Process Improvement Manager, University of Iowa Hygienic Laboratory
Bonnie D. Rubin is the emergency response and process improvement manager at the University of Iowa Hygienic Laboratory. She is responsible for coordinating Iowa's public health laboratory's chemical, biological, radiological and food terrorism initiatives within the state; partnering with other state agencies and Iowa's first responders programs, training the clinical laboratories on the Laboratory Response Network and their responsibilities in a terrorist or outbreak event. She collaborates with federal and national level agencies and other states throughout the U.S. in preparedness initiatives. She holds a bachelor's degree in biology and clinical laboratory science and master's degrees in business administration and healthcare administration from the University of Iowa. She has over 30 years of experience in laboratory medicine, 25 of those years in management and leadership positions in hospitals, research, and public health laboratories.
